Federal and State law requires that every State provide employers with one centralized location for the processing of income withholding for child support orders. To meet these requirements the State of Illinois created the State Disbursement Unit (SDU). Since 10/1/99 all wage deductions have been processed by the SDU.

The $36.00 annual Support Service Fee is assessed by Illinois State law on all Child Support cases. This fee must still be paid to the Circuit Clerk's Office.  Payment of your $36 annual Support Service Fee should be made with a separate check payable to Circuit Clerk. The Circuit Clerk accepts personal checks, cashier's checks, certified checks, and money orders for Support Service Fee payments.  Be sure to include your case number and Support Service Fee on your check and mail to:
